I’m Dr. Lily, a board certified child and adolescent psychologist. Put simply, I work with kids and their parents to make daily life easier. I help kids develop skills and strategies to manage the difficulties they are facing and help parents develop tools to allow their child to thrive. I love the work I do and am honored to help families during their challenging times.
With over a decade of experience in school and medical settings, I work with families of children as young as 3 years old for concerns such as potty training and challenging behaviors; school aged children experiencing anxiety, mood concerns, and difficulties with self-regulation; and with adolescents and young adults struggling with depressive symptoms, anxiety, and overall adjustment to life transitions.
In addition, I am particularly passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults with chronic health conditions (e.g., IBS, Crohn’s disease, and diabetes).
Have Questions? To discuss my services, please contact me via the New Client Inquiry form or call 503.446.3435.
My services are available in-person and virtually based on the needs of my clients.
I provide individual talk therapy to children and teens as well as parent training/consultation to caregivers of young children and school-aged children. I believe in the importance of using evidence-based approaches, knowing that they have been researched and can be effective for treating specific concerns, like Cognitive Behavior Therapy for depression and anxiety. I also strive to individualize treatment based on the specific needs and characteristics of the individual client and family.
I have specialized training in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Exposure and Response Prevention (Ex/RP), Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), The Incredible Years, heart rate variability biofeedback, and pediatric clinical hypnosis.
Sessions & Rates
Below are the sessions I provide and the rates. I am not contracted with any major insurance companies, and am considered an out-of-network provider. If you have insurance with out-of-network mental health coverage, I can provide you with an itemized invoice (superbill) for third-party reimbursement.
A good first step is to check with your insurance provider for details about out-of-network benefits.

Intake Interview
Duration: 60 Minutes
Rate: $295
During the intake interview, I meet with the client and parent(s) to gather detailed information about their current concerns and how those are impacting the client and family. I will ask about how the client is doing in terms of their emotional and behavioral health as well as in other areas of their life such as school and their social life. At the end of the visit, I will provide recommendations regarding best next steps and what to expect for future visits, if those are indicated. Another goal for the initial visit is for families to get a feel for if I will be a good fit for their child and family.
Follow- Up Session
Duration: 45 - 50 Minutes
Rate: $220
Follow up visits will be individual sessions for the client, parent training sessions, or a combination of both. For younger children, parents are more involved in the individual sessions and less so for older children/teens. However, I often find it helpful to have regular parent check-ins for all clients in elementary and middle school/junior high, and sometimes for older teens.
Dr. Lily Iteld’s Bio
I have a long history of working with children, beginning with tutoring elementary school students in my native city of New Orleans. I attended McGill University for my undergraduate degree in psychology and was able to meld my interests in education and psychology when pursuing a graduate degree in school psychology at the University of Washington. After working in schools for a few years, I transitioned to providing behavioral health services to children and adolescents in specialty medical clinics and hospital settings.
All of these experiences have helped form my approach to working with children and adolescents. I consider the biological, psychological, and social factors that impact how a person is thinking, feeling, and behaving. Within this framework, I believe my primary role is to understand and validate the experiences of my clients. That foundation is crucial to helping them make long-lasting changes. Over the course of treatment, seeing the transition that clients make from feeling uncertain and stuck to feeling more confident and empowered is the most rewarding part of my work.
I am a licensed psychologist who is board certified in clinical child and adolescent psychology and provides services to clients living in Oregon, Washington, and Texas. Based out of Portland, OR since 2022, I provide in-person services out of my office in SW Portland as well as virtual services, when it is more convenient for families.
